A. M. went under the name of Mrs. Thomas Jonathan Hussey, and was active from about 1820-1877. Dörfelt & Heklau gives her initials, says that her maiden name was Reed, and that she was of French ancestry.
The paintings in her Illustrations are absolutely gorgeous and, so far as I can see, very accurate, and you will see as many as I can make excuses for in this website.
