This is the smallest of the Lepidellas, a group of Amanitas with a scaly, rooting base and some sort of warts or powder on the cap. In spite of its typically small size, sometimes much larger specimens are found, as shown here: usually the little one in front is about as big as it gets.

Besides its size, it can be told from other Lepidellas by the gray cap and unusually pointy darker gray warts that cover the cap.
