COMA Checklists

COMA maintains several lists of fungi collected in the southeastern NY/Connecticut region. The checklists available here are designed for recording the species found on a single walk, eliminating some of the confusions and misspellings that can occur when one is writing out the names of the fungi by hand.

The Beginner's Checklist includes the most common fungi of the area, with common names to make the mushrooms easier to remember.

The Full Checklist is a more complete list of fungi in this area. It only uses scientific names.

The Rogerson Foray checklist is a list of fungi found over the years on COMA's annual Clark Rogerson Foray. It only uses scientific names. Ursula Hoffmann, our data recorder, has provided two differently organized pdf lists of the mushrooms recorded at the Clark Rogerson Forays:
