Biography
Afzelius is a difficult person to do research on: there is another Adam Afzelius (1905-1957) who wrote about the Roman Empire, and an Arvid August Afzelius (1785-1871) who did research on Swedish folksongs and folktales. Keeping them straight is not always easy.
I wonder if he is one of Linnaeus' expeditionary students; the time and the expedition are about right.
