Our first club "dinner" in a while will be actually be a (large, long) lunch at a restaurant in chinatown, in downtown Chicago. The menu that we've checked out so far includes Shanghai-style rice cakes with porcini, morels and bok choy with oyster sauce, hen-of-the-woods soup, and a white jelly fungus desert.

Note that several of the entrees are vegan, and we've ordered extra vegetables in things like the braised duck. So there is plenty for the non-meat-eater to enjoy.
