A stipe is the stem of a mushroom. A mushroom that has a stipe is said to be stipitate. A mushroom with a cap but no stipe is said to be sessile (as in the picture).

marginal

This is a term I've coined to indicate a stem that is connected to the edge of the cap and is continuous with it.

A lateral stem extends off to the side, rather than straight down from the cap.

A stem can be both lateral and marginal.
