Biography

studies theology at Fribourg (Switzerland) and Munich

studies theology and natural science at Regensburg

1893     earns Dr. rer. nat. degree (Doctor of natural things) at Regensburg

1895     ordained a priest; serves as assistant priest in Abendsberg

1899     takes the state (teaching?) exam in natural history

1901     appointed prefect in a boy's seminary in Regensburg; also appointed professor for natural science in the lyceum in Regensburg

1901     collecting trip through Scandanavia

1905     collecting trip to Corsica

1907     collecting trip to what was then Palestine and to (on the way?) "south-eastern Europe"

1910     appointed professor of the university at Regensburg

1930     elected first president of the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Pilzkunde (German Mushroom-hunters Association)

In spite of his collecting trips, Killermann published mainly on the non-gilled mushrooms of Bavaria. He seems to have stopped publishing during the 30s, and was in charge of reorganizing the German Mushroom-hunters Association after World War II.

I don't know the modern equivalent of the taxon Tenaces; I was unable to find it in The Dictionary of Fungi.
