Ernst Athearn Bessey calls attention to his Mycological Fragments (Mycologische Fragmente, or, later in the series, Fragmente zur Mycologie), a series of articles on the small ascomycetes published in the Sitzungsberichte der Akademie der Wissenschaften in Wien:
"These were about 25 contributions beginning with Band 111 in 1902 and continuing to Band 132 in 1923. These include many discussions of various groups formerly believed to produce perithecia but shown by the author to have stromatic structures instead."
Höhnel's own numbers for these fragments go up past two hundred, so maybe Bessey is counting them in bunches.
